Tamika Lockhart-Spann

Who is Tameka? I am a military spouse to a wonderful Navy man, Navy veteran, mother of 3
beautiful children that I adore, enjoy hiking nature trails, and a lover of travel and interior
decorating. I have traveled the world thanks to the Navy and have certain places that I enjoyed
and did not want to ever leave. My favorite places during my travel were Hawaii, Greece,
Singapore, Portugal, and Dubai. Although in the past couple of years travel has slowed down,
now that it is picking back up it is time for our children to see the world as well. Now on to the
fun stuff. In my spare time, I work as an HR professional and career student, lol.

With over nine years of experience working in human resources, I work as a strategic partner
providing full spectrum talent management/HR support and assistance to employees and
managers. I am a Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP)
and I also hold a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) Certification through HR Certification
Institute (HRCI). To continue with my educational success, I received a Bachelor of Arts (BA)
degree in HR Management (2015) and a Master of Business Administration in HR Management
(MBA-HR) from Saint Leo University (2018). I am currently enrolled in the Master of
Jurisprudence in Labor and Employment Law (MJ-LEL) program at Tulane University with a
proposed graduation date of May 2023. I joined the MJ-LEL program with Tulane University to
further educate myself in Employment Law (know your rights as an employee) and because of
the reputation of the Tulane program. I’m really not hard to figure out. Things to take away of
who I am is that I love my family, love to travel, and education is important to me!
