My initial post was done in a haphazard, lackadaisical manner, so I'm going to consider this to be my real first post.
Hello! My name is Teryl Booth, and I live and work in Austin, TX. I graduated with my undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin. After working for PricewaterhouseCoopers for 12 years as a recruiter, I stayed home with my two sons for 9 years before returning to the workforce as a Human Resources Manager for a small private school. Since I did not have any formal training in the Human Resources area, I decided to pursue an HR certification through SHRM. During this process, I received an email from Tulane Law School about their Masters in Jurisprudence in Labor and Employment Law program. My original goal in undergrad was to go to law school, so this program intrigued me! I spoke with Kira Zawacki, and decided to apply to begin the program that was starting in 3 weeks. I have not regretted this decision for one second.
Now, as I begin my final semester in the Tulane MJ-LEL program, I am both fired up and bummed. I cannot wait to complete this journey and receive my degree, but I'm going to miss the regular interaction with my cohort. Each person in our cohort is incredibly talented, and I love spending time with them during our online class sessions and small group projects. The energy and encouragement everyone brings are, I believe, the keys to our overall success.
To my fellow Capstonians...We got this! No Nacho Left Behind! Sweet 16 Cohort! Nacho Cohort!
