Something Interesting, Something New

Amanda Story, MJ-LEL, Capstone Spring 2023

I really appreciate my current job, because I learn something new every single day. Truly every day I go into work something new comes up that I have to dig into. However, I want to focus on what I've learned in the program. Last semester, the Social Media course really opened my eyes to the legal implications of contests, giveaways, and promotions. This is particularly sticking out in my mind now, with the release of the new Netflix series "Pepsi, Where's My Jet?" The documentary provides an interesting look at how important it is for businesses to protect themselves when returning promotional contests and giveaways, and I loved being able to have a more fully developed understanding of the legal implications, because of our class.
