I am James Harris, and I entered the workforce at 19 years old as a compassionate individual with a deep-seated passion for working with children in foster care. It had been a part of who I was for about 15 years. I enjoyed making a positive impact in the lives of our youth who have faced adversity, by providing them with the support and care they need to thrive and become productive members of society.
During my last few years working with youth, I became inspired to go to college because so many of them were going and graduating. I figured if they could face the hardships that they did and still navigate college then I could as well. I went back to school later in life and got my Associates in Liberal Arts, Bachelor's in Sociology and now doing my final lap in order to complete my Master of Jurisprudence in Labor and Employment Law degree. As a current HR Business Partner working in public health this degree is important because it is aligned with the work that I do and the support I currently provide to my client groups/ company. Not to mention it is a well-respected degree from a top law school.
When I am not working a million hours I am either spending quality time with my family and dog Breezy or watching the Buffalo Bills play.
