Introducing: Aisha Tory

I am Aisha Tory. I am a Human Resources Professional living in the Middle Tennessee area for over ten years. My family, and I, relocated to Middle Tennessee from the Tennessee Valley. In my career, I have had the opportunity to work in some pretty amazing environments, with some pretty amazing employers and with some even more amazing people. I have worked in corporate settings, the manufacturing environment, and in supply chain and logistics for the automotive industry. I bring a wealth of knowledge and years of experience to the table. I believe strongly in honesty and integrity. I lead with both and that speaks to my character as an individual. When I have downtime, I enjoy spending time with my family, attending soccer matches, watching college football (Yay! Tulane is ranked in CFP for the first time in school history! Roll Wave!), I cheer for the Saints and am a Liverpool Football Club Supporter.

I enrolled in the Tulane University Law School – Master of Jurisprudence, Labor and Employment Law program because I wanted to have a deeper understanding of the law, as it relates to the life cycle of employment. So much of human resources naturally weaves in and out of the law, when dealing with employees, supervisors and managers that it just made sense to be armed with knowledge from a legal perspective from one of the most recognized and reputable institutions in the country. I wanted to position myself to be considered an asset to any organization and having a law degree from Tulane University Law School will do just that. I also wanted to fulfill a lifelong dream of attending law school. This is why I decided to apply. I have not looked back since. The decision to become part of the MJ-LEL program has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. I am part of Cohort “Sweet” 16 and we are Nacho Cohort. We leave no Nacho behind.

Last, and certainly not least, I am a Leo. The lioness has the strength and the courage to do what is necessary and just. Courtesy of the MJ-LEL program, I have developed into a more confident and fearless leader. I am who I believe myself to be. Like the lioness.
