I included this picture of a bowl of ice cream because it makes me smile. It's a reward after a meal, a soothing treat to calm my nerves, or a way for me to cope with something that is stressing me out.
These are the final weeks of the MJ-LEL program. We have been asked to fill out graduation applications and order our regalia. I can't believe we are almost at the finish line!
Last night we held a cohort study hall. What is a study hall? A time set to study, chat and idea share. It was great. There were students that wanted company while doing work, others were able to observe their peers that were working on their capstones, some discussed what work they had left to complete , some needed guidance, and it was great. We supported and helped each other. Not everyone needed the same support, but we were all there for each other.
If you would like to organize a study hall with your peers:
Email your entire cohort, or class, and see who would like to join
Schedule a date, time, and a zoom meeting
Enjoy the company and engagement.
Repeat
I am so excited about graduation, and we will all get there together!
I will leave you with this quote from Mr. Rogers:
"All of us, at some time or other, need help. Whether we're giving or receiving help, each one of us has something valuable to bring to this world. That's one of the things that connects us as neighbors—in our own way, each one of us is a giver and a receiver."
