Finally Feeling Accomplished...

After nearly 24 months, I finally feel accomplished! I see the end in sight, and I know I've got this. Like many, there were times I wasn't sure if I would be able to do it. Husband, kids, work... life; this on its own takes all of your time. My family and the passion I for my work are the reason I'm here.

My name is Courtney Wingo and I'm the Employee Relations Manager for a 3-campus health care system in Tuscaloosa, AL. In 2016 I started working for my current employer as an Organizational Development Coordinator. Upon finishing my bachelor's degree in human resources management in February of 2019, I moved into the role as an HR Consultant. This role solidified my passion for Labor and Employee Relations in the health care industry and the reason I started looking for a master's program to help me better understand the intersection of law and HR.

I am currently a member of the American Hospital Association, American Society for Health Care Human Resources, SHRM and hold a PHR from HRCI. These affiliations, along with the knowledge gained from the MJ-LEL program, I feel like I have positioned myself to become a trusted voice at the table when decisions are made that affect the organizations workforce. The MJ-LEL program not only exceeded my expectations, but also sparked by desire to learn more about the law!
