Company, Photos and Social Media, Oh my!

You just took some awesome photos at the company party and are ready to post to social media. Wait, not so fast!


After taking the Intellectual Property course, I have learned that the Right of Publicity applies to ordinary people, and the employer should get a release before posting pictures of employees. I find this important because we’re in an era of social media that constantly publishes information or circulates employees’ photos without prior consent.
