Hello! My name is Amanda Story, and I am currently in my last semester at Tulane (which is why this post exists!). I currently work as an HR Specialist at NBCUniversal, based out of Los Angeles, CA. I also have my BA in Media Theory and Criticism from California State University- Northridge.
I initially intended my career to be directly in the film industry- I had a strong interest in both pre and post-production and was pursuing a degree that would put me on that track. While in school, I started working at a retail store that really developed my passion for people management. I ended up growing within the brand and running my own store.
During the 7 years I worked running my own shop, I realized I loved all of the 'people' elements of the job, and decided to pursue a career in HR- which led me to both Tulane and NBCUniversal.
It has been an incredible year and a half, and I can't wait to see what the next 6 months hold.

In my personal life, I love to travel with my partner of 11 years. We also love to eat and enjoy trying new restaurants. I also have 4 cats and 1 foster cat and I love them so very much. Here is a photo of me in Iceland a number of years ago:
